The Language Portal of Canada is a proud partner of the 28th edition of Les Rendez-vous de la Francophonie (RVF), which will be held from March 1 to 31, 2026. This year’s theme, “Activate Your Francophonie,” encourages us to get moving, go out and find other Francophiles and Francophones, and create even more opportunities to get together and promote the French language, a language that has been shaped by many different accents, traditions and stories. Check out the many activities in the RVF’s programming, and put your language knowledge to the test by taking part in the contests and activities prepared in collaboration with the Language Portal of Canada!

Message from the Chief Executive Officer
Read the message from Jean-François Lymburner, Chief Executive Officer of Public Services and Procurement Canada’s Translation Bureau.
The Translation Bureau is proud to be contributing to the 28th edition of Les Rendez-vous de la Francophonie (RVF).
This year’s theme, “Activate Your Francophonie,” invites us to actively explore the richness of the French language. Just as physical activity is good for our own personal health, French-language activities are good for the health of our Francophone communities! From March 1 to 31, let’s seize every opportunity to activate our Francophone or Francophile spirit.
The Translation Bureau’s Language Portal of Canada offers a wealth of writing and translation tools and resources. I invite you to consult it and to enter the RVF’s “Comme on dit par chez nous” contest to explore the diversity of Canada’s Francophonie from coast to coast to coast!
Enjoy the RVF!
