On dit correctement savoir gré (à quelqu’un) et non être gré (à quelqu’un) :
- Je vous saurais gré de signer ce document le plus rapidement possible. (et non : Je vous serais gré…)
- Ils lui sauront gré de sa générosité. (et non : Ils lui seront gré…)
L’expression signifie « avoir de la reconnaissance pour quelqu’un, être reconnaissant ».
Gré est invariable.
